Beta Naturals Visits Guide Dogs of America

A couple weeks ago, we had the pleasure of touring the Guide Dogs of America headquarters in Sylmar, California.  Guide Dogs of America is a wonderful organization that provides guide dogs, free of charge, to the blind and visually impaired so they can live with increased mobility and independence.  The organization relies solely on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, chapters, and clubs.  Prior to our visit, we had no idea how intense and thorough the screening and training processes were for puppies to become guide dogs.  Only a small percentage of puppies bred for guide dog purposes actually become certified.  The ones that don't graduate are made available for adoption through a waitlist rumored to be twelve-years long.  We highly recommend visiting Guide Dogs of America if you're ever in Southern California.  Tours are free of charge, but reservations are required.

Caulfield's Counter: My Skin Care Site to Help Men with Their Skin

For a little over a year now I've been maintaining Caulfield's Counter, a site dedicated to "helping dudes with their skin."  Because skin care has been a lifelong passion of mine, I enjoy sharing my experiences of using a variety of grooming products with people who are curious about skin care but don't know where to begin when it comes to choosing the right products.  Just because I created Beta Naturals doesn't mean that I can't try other skin care brands.  In fact, I use Caulfield's Counter to help Beta Naturals develop better products.  Caulfield's Counter is simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate.  The site features product reviews, grooming advice, and how-to videos for the visual learner.  I review everything from facial moisturizers to deodorants.  The reviews are honest and not paid for.  Men, I established Caulfield's Counter to help you build confidence and age more gracefully.  Ladies, please visit Caulfield's Counter if you want to get your guys started on a proper skin care routine using better products.

An Honest Review of Beta Naturals Pure Organic Argan Oil

We're happy whenever we hear about someone enjoying the benefits of using our products for the first time.  Rather than rely on over-hyped marketing to get the word out on Beta Naturals skin care, we prefer to take more of a grassroots approach, letting everyday people like you share your thoughts via word-of-mouth channels such as YouTube, Facebook, beauty blogs, and everyday conversation.  So we felt humbled to receive a mention for Beta Naturals Pure Organic Argan Oil by one of our favorite YouTube beauty bloggers Brunette Beauty Blogger in her most recent video March Beauty Favorites 2012.  Watch the video in its entirety or skip to the 5:45 mark to view the portion featuring our product.

Just Another Day at the Office with Beta the Pup and Schatzi the Gentle Giant

With our busy schedules and countless distractions, we often forget to sit back and appreciate what we have - whether it be family, friends, good health, or a place to sleep.  At Beta Naturals, we strive to be in a perpetual state of appreciation.  The above photo of Beta and his friend Schatzi reminds us of how rewarding an afternoon spent with an old pal can be.  What are you grateful for today?

Introducing Beta, the Newest Member of the Beta Naturals Family

Two weeks ago we gave a ridiculously adorable eight-week old puppy a new home.  The rambunctious little guy's name, appropriately enough, is Beta.  He's become our official mascot.  We know for a fact his mom is a Cocker Spaniel, but the baby-daddy's identity is still unknown - judging from the pictures above, we have a feeling Beta's poppa is a Labrador Retriever.  We adopted Beta from the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, a wonderful organization nearby dedicated to finding the best possible homes for its animals.  If you're looking for a pet to warm up your heart and home, please consider adopting from a shelter or rescue agency.  There are many animals out there in need of a loving family.  Also, if you have any towels or blankets you no longer need, donate them to your local shelter - they'll provide warmth and comfort during the cold winter.
